WB poor treatment of brides' concerns

I think this would be a really good place to discuss what is happening on the WB boards regarding Heather and Madeline's.

Thanks. Can you please reply to Pammer23 that I have NEVER done personal wedding business using WB. NEVER! I don't PM brides saying I will do their photography. I've mentioned that I am a photographer, but I never say in posts...I am a wedding photographer. Do you want to talk? NONE of that. I don't want people to think that is what happened. This is all only about that post. And it isn't fair.

Wow, that's pretty harsh, you'd think that they could've communicated their policy & that she was pushing it (in their eyes) before all out banning her.

What I don't understand is the policy. Ok so before they posted to me the blurb about they can and will delete a post that a vendor requests. Ok fine. But they never said posting a negative review will result in being banned. That is bullshit. Ok the vendor doesn't like it. What do I care? I don't like that I got shitty service. Maybe someone should ask WB when my case gets posted to Madeline's on the BBB will WB side with me then? Will they finally see that I was telling the truth about the situation? THEN will they tell the vendor to F&K OFF because my post was truthfull and deserved? shrug* So dissapointed. sigh

I am 110% understanding what your saying, I know slammed (and I am referring to what I did not what you did as I never read those other posts) 2 vendors - the bridal salon that never got my dress and the florist who bailed 2 days before the wedding why didn't I get banned? I don't know why you were banned I don't get their rules I do however get your confusion and anger, why can one person do it & not others? Hopefully they realize they are being stupid and retract....

Heatherlassel - I am so sorry you got banned. I have no idea what kind of bull they are pulling but this makes NO SENSE. 6 or 8 months ago I posted pics of a line of dresses that I did as my thesis in university. They were wedding dresses - just sort of poorly sewn samples that I did and they deleted my post as advertising although I had in NO WAY thought of even selling them. I have a fultime job and don't need the "business". I can't understand why you got banned for giving a bad review when I didn't get banned for that... yes my post was the reason the rules were changed.. ack. So ridiculous!! keep us posted on what happens!!

'I used MW for some of my wedding decorations. Centerpieces (martini glasses, gem stones, mirrors), chair covers, sashes, love plates, faith stones. I picked up my decorations which was a 1 hour drive each way for me and my fiance. When we finally got the stuff home and unloaded into the reception hall we were missing almost ALL the parts of our centerpieces. All we had were the martini glasses. I was also missing the 'faith' stones. I paid a pretty good amount for this whole package. I tried to call M but of course there was no answer. I sent her an e-mail and didn't get a reply until the MORNING of my wedding. ugh I was checking my e-mail because I was hoping she'd have a solution. I did talk to her and she just said "well I don't have anyone who can go to Portage". She basically did NOTHING to get me the items. Yess she refunded the $100 value of all the centerpieces. But I still had to run to Wal-Mart on the morning of my wedding (after hair and makeup) to get stuff for my centerpieces! She also gave me a $100 gift certificate. I thought that was great. I picked the items I wanted by August 20th. I e-mailed a few times asking where my stuff was and would get excuses like "oh i don't know' or 'maybe something was on back order'. In November I gave a mild review of her company saying that i didn't recommend her because of my experience and I also mentioned that I had been given a gift cert. but that it was 4 months and I still had NOTHING. Well on Dec.10th I e-mailed her AGAIN. Then on Dec 11th she e-mailed me back saying "After much consideration Madeline's Weddings has decided cancel your $100.00 gift certificate. It has been brought to our attention though several clients and vendors that you have been posting negative comments about my company on a wedding forum, despite our efforts to try to satisfy you. We do not feel that offering you additional compensation would matter when in spite of all our efforts you have continued to publicly slander our company. " Um HUH? They TRIED to satisfy me? I waited over 4 months to get the gift cert items and I made ONLY ONE negative post about her on WB and then she cancels my gift cert. That's not acceptable and I wanted to warn other brides of the bad customer service. Since WHEN does a gift cert buy you a good review?'

that is absolutely ridiculous!!! I would love to give her a piece of my mind. same with WB. absolutely ridiculous!

Heather, just wanted to say how much this sucks. You didn't do anything wrong, and anyone who actually read your original review would know that, jeez no way I would ever use that company or suggest anyone else ever use them.
